The 500D-X is a stand alone battery powered strobe light that runs off of 2 6-Volt lantern style batteries. The 500D-X will run approximately 24 hours between charges. The batteries are contained in a powder painted black steel box with a hinged lid. The strobe is a single flash 12V strobe light. The unit includes 2 batteries and they are replaced by the "user" after that.
